Frequently Asked Questions

Answers on pricing, onboarding timelines, supported licensing technologies, systems integration, and customer-facing interfaces for the OMS SafeHarbor platform.

How much does all this cost?
Plans start at $150k per year, and go up from there, depending upon the scope and scale of your business requirements.
How long does it take to get running on your platform?
Our default applications can be configured in a day or two, however it typically takes 4–6 weeks to bring a customer fully on board. The items that usually need the most time are the migration of existing orders/entitlements and software libraries. Adoption of our RESTful web services for orders, NPI, account creation, and authentication is very straightforward. The bulk of the time in adopting the OMS SafeHarbor platform will be your internal process change.
What licensing technologies do you support?
OMS is license enforcement technology agnostic. Because of our component and service-based architecture, we are able to work with any license key tools or schemes you have on board. Our system is compatible with home-grown key systems and many of the leading commercial licensing toolkits available today. If we haven’t seen it before, rest assured, we can make it work.
How do you integrate with other systems already in place at my company?
OMS has many years of experience dealing with systems integration. The key component to any successful integration project is a clear understanding of the business objectives we’re attempting to achieve — business objectives, not technical objectives. Far too often integration projects become limited to change orders simply for the sake of change, or for existing technical debt.
How do you manage customer-facing interfaces?
There are two ways your customers can reach the platform: RESTful web services (APIs), or OMS SafeHarbor authored application pages. In most cases you’ll call an OMS web service directly from your own customer portal — retrieving a single download file is one example — and render download and license management within your existing experience. Alternatively, you may choose to use the OMS SafeHarbor authored pages for your customer-facing implementation.
